The award recognises the most innovative initiative in the food industry. EBI Food Safety's is one of the three nominees.
Listeria on the rise in France and other European countries,
according to reseach published by Goulet et Al.1).
In France and eight other European countries, the incidence of listeriosis has increased, or remained relatively high, since 2000.The increase occurs mainly in persons older than 60. The absence of large outbreaks suggests that there may be increasing exposure to foods that have sporadic or low level Listeria contamination and that have some ability to support growth of Listeria organisms.
